Deborah was one of the few women mentioned in the book of Judges. She was a judge. Go figure. Her position as a judge was both her job and ministry. And she was married. And she had children. I want to be like Deborah. I want to be a proverbs 31 woman who serves the Lord, her husband, and her community. While God is our final judge, it is important for the law to be carried out on earth. All authority is ordained by God, including law enforcement (even when they give you a speeding ticket).
I want to protect those who cannot protect themselves and speak for those who cannot be heard.
"The gunfire around us makes it hard to hear. But the human voice is different from other sounds. It can be heard over noises that bury everything else. Even when is not shouting. Even if it's just a whisper. Even the lowest whisper can be heard - over armies - when it's telling the truth."
